The newly slated roof around the chimney stack

Full slate re-roof with new roof window

Fylde Coast · September 2026

Problem: The existing slate roof was at the end of its life, with slipped, cracked and delaminating slates across the whole elevation and failing flashings around the old roof window.

Work completed: Stripped the roof back to the rafters, fitted new breathable membrane and treated battens, then re-slated the whole roof. A new roof window was installed with proper flashing kit and leadwork, and the ridge was re-bedded.

Materials: Natural slate, breathable roofing membrane, treated timber battens, lead flashings, roof window with slate flashing kit.

Fylde Coast · December 2025

Materials: OSB decking boards, GRP fibreglass roofing system with trims and topcoat.
